2025 MHSAA Championships on State-Wide Radio

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The State Championships Radio Network is gearing up to deliver complete coverage of the 2025 MHSAA High School Football State Championships for its ninth season, returning to Davis Wade Stadium at Mississippi State University from December 4–6. All seven championship matchups will be broadcast across Mississippi on a network of partner stations.

This year’s network will be carried on ESPN 105.9 The Zone (WRKS) in Jackson and the statewide Mississippi Public Broadcasting network. Fans will also be able to watch an in-booth camera feed on the State Championships Radio YouTube channel, bringing viewers inside the broadcast booth throughout the weekend.

“These games mean so much to communities across the state,” said Jared Shotts, Owner of Shotts Media and executive producer of the network. “That’s why we work hard to make sure the radio network and online platforms give every fan—no matter where they live—a way to be part of championship weekend.”

Mississippi native and voice of the Atlanta Braves, Ben Ingram, returns to lead play-by-play coverage.

“Calling these games is something I look forward to every year,” Ingram said. “The atmosphere, the passion, and the pride these communities bring—there’s nothing quite like championship weekend in Mississippi.”

The broadcast team once again features a strong roster of experienced voices providing play-by-play, color commentary, and on-field reporting:

Jared Shotts – Voice of the Germantown Mavericks/Belhaven Blazers; Owner of Shotts Media

Jake Wimberly – Voice of the Brandon Bulldogs; Host of The Drive on ESPN 105.9 The Zone

Bryan Eubank – Voice of the Jackson Academy Raiders; Executive Producer of The Raider Network

Caleb Hamill – Voice of Jones County high school football and William Carey University

Brandon Davis – Voice of the Warren Central Vikings

Cliff Barker – Voice of the Tri-County Academy Rebels; Color Analyst for Holmes CC Bulldogs

Matt Caldwell – Former Mississippi State offensive lineman (1991-95) and long-time MS high school football coach

Between each broadcast, two-time Mississippi Association of Broadcasters Radio Personality of the Year Breck Riley will return to host The Wendy’s Tailgate Show, featuring interviews, analysis, and updates from around Starkville. Riley will also anchor the Buffalo Wild Wings Halftime Show during each of the seven championship games.
